Charlie Onstott Obituary

Charles Edward Onstott, 70, of Browns Valley, passed away January 10, 2017 at UCDMC surrounded by family and friends after a hard fought battle with leukemia.

Born and raised in Yuba City, he continued to enjoy friendships made in elementary school. Graduating Yuba City High School in 1964, then on to Modesto JC and Chico State, he continued to make lasting friendships. He loved to fly, learning to do so before he could drive a car. Hunting and fishing were passions he enjoyed throughout his life. He was a member of the National Agricultural Aviation Association, California Agricultural Aviation Association, and NRA.

Charlie is remembered by all for his larger than life personality and room-filling laugh. He loved to have a good time and wanted everyone around him to do the same. He was the first one to the party and the last one to leave.

He is survived by wife Leah, son Mark Onstott, daughter Lisa Onstott, daughter-in-law Krissee Onstott, grandchildren Levi and Lizi Onstott, nephews John and Jim Onstott and their families, and son Jake. He was preceded in death by brother Kenny and parents Ken and Laverne Onstott.

His smile and blue eyes will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Services will be held at Sutter Cemetery Saturday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. Celebration of Life to follow at The Refuge in Yuba City.
