Connie Ybarra Garcia Obituary

Connie Ybarra Garcia, 83, entered into rest November 30, 2014 at her residence in Yuba City surrounded by her family. She was born on December 29, 1930 in Sabinal, Texas to Santiago and Rosa Garcia. She was a Yuba City resident for 78 years and attended Tierra Buena Elementary School. Being the eldest daughter, she did not continue her education in order to help raise her younger siblings.

She began working as a farm laborer throughout the local area and later helped to maintain the family business known as, Garcia Farms. She also was employed at Westlam Foods in Sutter, CA for two years.

She was a devoted parishioner of St. Isidore Catholic Church and was a member of the Legion of Mary. She had a deep love for her family and was true to her Catholic faith.

She is survived by her four brothers, Alex Garcia, Gino Garcia, Felix Garcia and Victor Garcia; four sisters, Ramona McGrath, Isabel Garcia, Lydia Garcia and Barbara Jupina. Also her two nieces whom she helped raise, Rosalie and Elizabeth Garcia followed by countless nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Rosa Garcia and her two brothers, Henry and Marcelino Garcia.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 beginning with a visitation at 4:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Chapel of the Twin Cities. Mass will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10:00 am (prior to Mass, all are welcome to a special rosary beginning at 9:30 am) at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Yuba City, followed by burial at Sutter Cemetery.

The family request donations be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church.
