Dean Delmer Dahl Obituary

Dean Delmer Dahl, 61, of Sutter, CA, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in Marysville, California. Our beloved Dean had a Bible in his pocket and is now in the arms of his Heavenly Father. Dean was born in Kalispell, Montana, and was a Sutter resident for 49 years. He went to Sutter High School, Yuba College and Chico State University. He loved sports and was a phenomenal athlete. In high-school, Dean lettered in sports all 4 years and played football, basketball, baseball and was on the wrestling team.

Dean was MVP for multiple sports and years and was awarded Senior Scholar-athlete in 1974. At Yuba College, he excelled in football and baseball. At Chico State he focused on football and majored in construction management. He worked for Cal Trans and in the construction field. Dean was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. All who knew him knew his quick wit, good sense of humor and many acts of kindness. Survivors include his mother, Ann M. Dahl, sister, Diane M. Hufstedler, two nieces; Heather C. Hufstedler and Sherri M. Hufstedler, brother, Donald M. Dahl, cousins; Laurie and Mike Daniels, Steve Thomas, Aunt and Uncle Virginia and Almo Bergeson, and numerous loved ones and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Delmer Dahl.

Resting place will be in Sutter cemetery. Memorial to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dean's honor for a college scholarship, the "Dean D.
