Dixie Lorayne Wiggins Obituary

Dixie L. Wiggins, 81, of Yuba City, passed away on September 8, 2015 at Lincoln Meadows Care Center in Lincoln, CA. She was born on October 25, 1933 in Casper, WY to William and Bessie Kerby. Dixie married Richard S. Wiggins on November 14, 1951 in Cantaura, Venezuela. They lived in many countries overseas including Venezuela, Columbia and Argentina. Returning to the states, they made their home in Texas, Louisiana and then in Alaska from 1969 until retirement in 1983. They settled in Yuba City, near their daughter and golf courses. Dixie cherished her family and friends, was a master chef, enjoyed casinos, and was fanatical about the NBA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Virginia Hillestad, Bobbie Murphy, and Patsy Bradbury.

Dixie is survived by her daughter Valarie Yank (Carl) of Yuba City, son Richard S. Wiggins, Jr. (Bobbi) of Yuba City, granddaughters Dawnell Reische (Eric) of Meridian, Gwen Smith of Yuba City, Allicia Wiggins of Bartlesville, OK, Erin Buttacavoli (Mike) of Marysville, and Amanda Wiggins of Bartlesville, OK. She also had 8 great-grandchildren, Logan, Colton and Jaxon Smith of Yuba City, Carlie and Jared Reische of Meridian, Nico Buttacavoli of Marysville, and Allora and Andon Wiggins of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Per Dixie's wishes, there will be no memorial service.
