Frances was born the youngest of thirteen in Eufaula, Oklahoma where her family had moved from Cullman, Alabama to farm. Later, the family migrated to California. Together, they had three children, Gary Gardner (Therese), Gay Gardner-Seaver (Jerry) and Curtis Gardner. Frances was a long time resident of Colusa, California. She was an avid reader and she loved to take rides through the country side. She was one of the kindest and most gentle people that you ever could have known.

She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
