George Baker Lott Obituary

George Baker Lott, MD, passed away peacefully in his sleep May 26, 2017 at the age of 81. He was born July 6, 1935 to Mary Alma Multer and Hugh Benwick Lott in Binghamton, New York. George was the fourth son of five children.

George attended Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois and Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He studied medicine at the University of Illinois, followed by a Radiology Residency at Hines VA Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

He married his high school sweetheart, Nina Tuttle, in 1956. After medical training, he moved his family to Yuba City in 1967. George chose to join Bi-County Radiology (now Sutter Buttes Imaging) for many reasons, one of which was their "no necktie required" policy. He enjoyed his 35 year career as a Radiologist in our community, retiring in 2000. In his life, he enjoyed many activities including: tennis, biking, flying, skiing, golf and travel.

He is survived by his wife, Nina of 60 years, daughters: Susan (Dan), Karen (Mike), Cynthia, and son Jake, as well as seven grandsons. He will be lovingly remembered as a kind, quiet, and thoughtful man who led a full and well-lived life.

Graveside services will be at Sutter Cemetery, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 10:00 am.
