George Edison Childers Jr. Obituary
George E. Childers Jr. passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2014. He was born on July 2, 1965 at Beale Air Force Base. He lived his entire life in the Yuba/ Sutter area. The youngest of six children, he is survived by three sisters: Helga Childers (Mike), Heidi Thomason (Larry), Angela Johnson; and two brothers: Gary Childers (Kathy) and Charles Childers; seven nephews and one niece. George joins our parents George and Hildegard Childers with our Lord in Heaven.

"Little George" was a gentle soul. When he expressed anger, it was almost immediately followed by, "I'm sorry" and "I love you!" His passions were simple. He was a Ram's Football Fan and he loved Rock and Roll, played loudly. Now he's in Paradise. He would make Jimmy Buffet proud. He loved cheese burgers!

Those who knew George, also, know he was generous to a fault. If he saw someone in need of a jacket, that person was soon wearing George's jacket.

He is loved and will be missed by many. Don't despair. He is now with our parents basking in Christ's everlasting love. He has all he ever wanted.

He is finally "Free".

There will be a service on June 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Pastor Noble Hayes will officiate. Following the service, there will be a gathering at 3160 Granite Dr., Yuba City.

A private burial will occur on a future date.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor George can do so by turning to one another and doing what you can do to ease someone else's distress or by making a donation to Sutter-Yuba Bi-County Mental Health.

God Bless You,

The Childers Clan
