Obituary Condolences

Gordon T. Stromer (the "T" stands for trouble) Nov 18, 1920 - May 5, 2009. 88, years young, Gordon passed away with his wife Won Yo and son Sean, by his side. Gordon left this world the same way he entered it, determined to make his mark.  Born in Drumheller, Canada, he and his family moved to Carnation, WA where he found his footing as a young man.  Prospects of fortune led him to Yuba City, CA where in 1947, in the small town of Marysville, Stromer Realty was born.  Before long "Stromer" became a household name and Gordon couldn't stroll down the street without attracting admiration. A local legend whose fame reached all corners of the globe, Gordon has made an impact on all who knew him.  He was once described very accurately as one of the most colorful persons EVER; Optimistic, tenacious, extremely positive with tons of integrity. He is survived by his wife Won Yo and his son Sean Stromer.  His daughters; Nancy Kernen of Sacramento and Stephanie Stromer of N. Hollywood.  His son Allen Stromer of Chico and stepson Phillip Buholph of Oregon.  A grandson Brett Kernen of Wilton, CA. Granddaughters; Kimberly Kernen of Sacramento and Lisa Stromer of Menlo Park, CA.  Great-granddaughters; Michelle and Madison Kernen of Wilton, CA.  Nephews; Mark Storey of Oregon and Dale Storey, CA. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten, as Gordon Stromer is the last of the best of us.
