Irma Gingrich Obituary

Irma was born in Winona, Kansas, on December 28, 1919. She attended school in Winona and was a graduate of Winona High School.

Irma became a Marysville resident in 1945 and later retired from Jay's and Bradley's Department Stores. She was a Past Noble Grand, Past State Officer, Past District Deputy and 50-year member of the Minnehaha Rebekah Lodge #133. She was a Past Worthy Matron and active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Marysville Chapter #55. She also served as their organist for 20 years. Irma was also a charter member and musician of the Daughters of Leisure.

Survivors include her son Robert Hillery and his wife Judy, grandson Michael Hillery, granddaughter Angela Hillery Stegall, daughter-in-law Ingrid Hillery, five nieces and nephews and nine great -nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband French Gingrich, husband Larry Halvorsen, former husband Bert Hillery, parents Frank and Mable Waldmeier, son Frank Hillery, brother Loren Waldmeier and sister Velma Hurlock.

Services will be held at Sierra View on Monday January 5, at 11:00 am and a reception of remembrance will follow at the Methodist Church in Marysville.
