Jack Ray Wilson Obituary

Jack Ray Wilson, an 82-year old Yreka resident, passed away on November 19, 2017, at Madrone Hospice House in Yreka, CA. Jack was born on July 30, 1935, in Yreka to George and Louella Wilson.

He attended schools in Yreka, and was a log truck driver throughout Northern California. He worked for many of the local truck companies in Siskiyou County and finished his long career in Yuba County as an owner of his own logging business. He was a logger through and through.

Jack is survived by his six children: daughter Teresa Romero and son Robert Wilson, both of Anderson; daughter Kelly Wilson and son James Wilson of Montague; sons Michael Wilson and Glenn Wilson of Yreka; and two step-children: David McGrath of Reno, Nevada; and Gary McGrath of New Hampshire. Jack has two brothers, Ronald Wilson of Sparks, Nevada; and Mitchell Shelton of Yreka; two sisters, Marilyn Hedin of Big Springs; and Mary Lou Burgess of Boise, Idaho; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emilie Joan Wilson, on November 9, 2015, who was the love of his life. He missed her dearly every day.

No services are scheduled at this time. The family will notify in the near future of the time and place of their celebration of life.
