Kevin Lee Townsend Obituary

On June 24, 2015, my father Kevin Lee Townsend of Loma Rica, passed away. My father was an exceptional man; with a personality that could reach anyone of any background. In my opinion, he was the best sort of man because he held no judgments and never harbored anger toward anyone. He was known to many as "Little Buck", after his late father Buck Townsend, but I knew him as Dad.

He worked in construction for the majority of his life to provide for my brother, myself and my mother. He married my mother on August 23, 1986. In 1991, he and my mom had their first child, my older brother, Garrett Lee Townsend and my father was smitten with him right away. He took his little boy everywhere whether he was riding his horse or out in the duck blind; Kevin and Garrett were always together. In 1996, I was born and as I was told, my father was the first person to hold me. As a young girl, my father taught me to be selfless, kind, and most importantly, brave. It's no question that Kevin wasn't perfect as no one can truly be, but he knew how to make people smile and in the end that's all you can ask for. You will be truly missed Dad, and we love you.

He is loved by: his wife Wendi Townsend; his mother Izella Heinrich Townsend; his son and daughter Garrett and Mattyann; his siblings Charles Townsend, Ron Townsend and Deborah Brannum. Kevin was preceded in death by his father Buck Townsend, brother Larry Townsend and stepfather Fred Heinrich.

His Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Elk's Lodge in Marysville.
