1935 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Lionel Jerome (Lee) Harmon Obituary

Mr. Lionel Jerome (Lee) Harmon entered into rest Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Orchard View Senior Care in Chico, California. His memorial service will be held at the Church of Glad Tidings in Live Oak, CA, with Jess Parker officiating on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11 AM.

Lee, son of the late Ronald and Olive Harmon, was born in Los Angeles, CA on September 3, 1935.

As a young man, he taught himself through reading, Bible study, attending seminars, and joining Toastmasters. His faith in God is what guided him through life, and he was known to share the gospel with anyone and everyone he crossed paths with.

Lee was an active member of the Church of Glad Tidings, living out his faith through ministry to those less fortunate. He helped those in need of housing with getting on their feet. His generous spirit and kind personality will not be forgotten. Lee even took several risky trips into China to take Bibles to those without them.

Lee lived life on his own terms, and dabbled in butchery, real estate, and construction. He was a strong and persevering man, as evidenced in his 1998 accident on a construction site, which broke his femur and pelvis. Thankfully, he recovered, and we were all blessed to have 18 more years with him.

He is survived by his siblings Ronald Harmon, Martin Harmon, Kitten Harmon, Harold Harmon, and Dale Harmon, his children Amy Kennedy, Mark Harmon, and Robert Harmon, and his grandchildren, Jason Harmon, Karissa Kennedy, Kelsea Kennedy, Rhonna Harmon, Trinity Harmon, and his great-grandchildren Star Harmon, Jason Harmon, Jr., Shannon Harmon, Moses Harmon, and Kayla Alimoot, in addition to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Tina Harmon, brother Milton Harmon, and sister Audrey Barnes.
