Paul M.S. Garcia Obituary

Paul Memal Singh Garcia was born May 21, 1964 and passed away June 8, 2016 at his home in Lincoln, CA. He was a lifelong resident of Placer and Sutter Counties. Paul attended Barry Elementary School and graduated from Yuba City High School in 1982.

From a young age, he adopted his Dad's love of trap shooting and became very good at it, and passed the tradition down to his son Ryan. While in high school, Paul discovered his love of photography and I'm sure most would see him with a camera in hand taking pictures. Growing up down the street from the Oswald-Tudor Fire Department, he started hanging out with the guys, became a volunteer Fire Fighter and their official photographer. Paul was an active 9 year Barry 4H club member, played football, little league, and enjoyed hunting and fishing as a kid. Paul worked for FedEx Express for 30 years. He started out as a temporary part-time driver, moved to Southern California to take on a full-time position, transferred to the Bay Area for several years and found his way back to the Sacramento area. For the last 25 years, he worked on the heavy weight side as a Dispatcher. Those who worked with Paul would say he was a lot of fun, but didn't put up with anyone's complaining. His top priority was to ensure his driver's got the job done and the deliveries were done on time.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Christine, their son Ryan; Paul's son Eric Garcia of Clear Lake; and siblings Liz Fox of Sacramento, Alicia (Robert) Phillips of Yuba City, Tony (Muriel) Garcia of Folsom and his nephews and niece, Matt, Chris and Tim Fox and Lucas and Kennedy Garcia

He was preceeded in death by his parents Alfred and Isabel Garcia.

Memorial Services will take place at 3:00pm. Friday June 24, 2016, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 280 Oaktree Lane, Lincoln, CA 95648. Reception to follow at the church's hall.
