Paul Raymond Westberg

Paul Raymond Westberg, age 88, of Olivehurst, CA. passed away on January 9, 2014 at Rideout Hospital. He was born November 6, 1925 in Dodge, ND.

Paul married Ruth Kunert. They had 5 children then divorced. He moved to Olivehurst in 1967 where he met his second wife Etta, who had seven children. They had 2 more children bringing the total to fourteen.

Paul has worked in numerous occupations and at Sunsweet in Yuba City. Paul devoted the rest of his life to his family, charities, children and churches of the community. Paul was humble and had a large heart. Even in his poor health Paul would get on his cart and go searching for cans and bottles to donate to the local schools and churches, youth outreach programs, Hands of Hope, and the Salvation Army.

Paul's hobbies were collecting pretty rocks, gardening vegetables and flowers. He had the most beautiful flowers that he loved to share.

Paul will be missed by so many.

Paul is survived by his sister, Eunice Elston of Olivehurst; wife, Etta Westberg of Olivehurst; 6 daughters: Bonnie James of Olivehurst, Shirley Meyer of Hallwood, Sandra Young of Linda, Carol Woods of Crescent City, Martha Welch of Olivehurst, and Lola Westberg-Rose of Chester. He has 7 sons: Donald Westberg of Chowchilla, David Hughes of Olivehurst, Frankie Hughes of Oregon, Arlen Westberg of Olivehurst, Danny Hughes of Oregon, Wilson Stacks of Napa, and Timothy Westberg of Olivehurst. There are 34 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Paul is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Westberg; mother, Mary Alta Westberg; brother, Ben Westberg of WA; sister, Mary Boots of Iowa; 1 daughter, Carolyn Donaldson of Olivehurst; and a grandchild, Clinton James of Oregon.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday January 25, 2014 at 1:00p.m. at the Emmanuel Faith Tabernacle at 5286 Feather River Blvd., Olivehurst, CA. All who knew Paul are welcome to attend.
