Raymond Henry Riss Obituary

February 9, 1932 - April 4, 2017

Ray's family was the central focus of his life. He cherished visiting with his family at the Riss/McQuiston reunions and obtaining more information about his family ancestry.

Ray was a brilliant man with many talents and interests. His mathematical abilities were outstanding. Ray was able to accomplish anything he attempted with ease.

Religion was the fabric of Ray's life. He set an example for all to follow. Ray served at his church as an elder, deacon, youth leader, marriage encounter groups and he was the treasurer.

Ray participated in Rotary International.

Ray celebrated the beauty in nature. He camped, while hiking he'd identify flowers, birds, landmarks and mountains. He also had fond memories of times spent with family and friends at the cabin in Canyon Creek panning for gold and relaxing along the river. Ray was an excellent gardener.

Ray traveled across the United States exploring each new town, National Parks, beaches and monuments as a new adventure.

Ray served in the Army and the National Guard. He worked for Mass Mutual, Fireman's Fund and as a Financial Planner.
