Richard passed away September 7, 2017 at 49 years old surrounded by his family and will be greatly missed by all whom had the pleasure of knowing him.

Richie was born October 15, 1967 in Gridley, California. He attended Live Oak High school where he was awarded Mr. Quercus by his peers. After Live Oak High School, Richard attended Yuba College and then proceeded to complete the Police Academy. Richard served multiple agencies including the Gridley Police Department as well as the drug task force. He also enjoyed the few summers helping Bud Waller on his Irvine's truck route. He decided to pursue his passion of wildlife and was a heavy machine operator and mentor. He was very proud of his Wildlife work around the Gridley, Live Oak, and Biggs area, where he knew duck hunters could come and enjoy for decades. Richard loved nothing more than his seven children and his grandchildren. He dedicated his entire adult life in being a loving, kind, and selfless father as well grandfather. His passion, and sincere joy for them was obvious in everything he did. He molded them after his generous heart, loving spirit, and positive outlook on life. Richard had immense pride in the outdoors, passion of firearms, traveling, boating on the lake, converting farmland to Wetlands, making personalized gifts and helping others.
