Sharon Amelia Waite, remembered by many as Mrs. Huttman, passed away peacefully June 4, 2016, at Rideout Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. She was born September 21, 1938 in Sacramento, CA. She was descended from the Alexander, Frasier, and Peart families, early settlers of Grand Island.

Sharon attended Grand Island School, Pierce Jt. Sharon was a very active member of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, and Eastern Star. She was Mother Advisor, Grand Deputy, and was honored to be California State Mother Advisor for the Adorable Giraffes.

She was one of the sweetest, kindest, and most helpful people that we know. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, laughing & joking, and reliving old memories. Some of her favorite times were just relaxing with friends, and petting the dogs, and enjoying their antics. She loved her many, many students, and her teacher co-workers, and her Rainbow Girls.

Sharon is survived by her brother Ward Alton Peart Jr. of Lodi, and his family; as well as by cousins Sally Aldinger of Hayfork, Doug Peart of Elk Grove, Lee Poundstone of Costa Rica, and their families, eleven cousins and their families of the Frasier clan in Canada.
