Suzanne Lorraine "Suzie" Stoker Obituary

Suzanne "Suzie" Lorraine Stoker, 62, of Yuba City, CA.

Survived by her husband Randy Stoker, son James Stoker, daughter Jennifer Ceccardi, son in-law Brandon Ceccardi, grandchildren; Anaiah, Roman and Elias and mother Edith Van Horn.

Suzie was born in Concord, CA, July 12, 1953 to Albert and Edith Van Horn. She moved to Sacramento, CA in 1973 to attend CSUS where she earned her BA in Liberal Studies. She met her husband Randy Stoker while attending a college youth group at Arcade Baptist Church and then married him on November 19th, 1977. She was an Elementary School Teacher until the births of her children Jennifer and James. She then became a stay at home mom.

Suzie was an active part of her home church Bayside Covenant from 1995 through 2005 and upon moving to Yuba City became involved in Hope Point Nazarene where she taught Sunday School, VBS camps, mentored mothers, led Bible studies and opened up their home to small groups. She was on the board for the yearly Christian woman's retreat TWRS; and for the past 8 years volunteered as a receptionist at A Woman's Friend in Marysville, CA.

Suzie's goal in life was to be a witness of Jesus to others and spread God's love. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and ministering to family and friends. God used her to touch every person's life with His love that He brought into her path. She will be greatly missed by all.

There will be memorial services held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00 am at Hope Point Nazarene in Yuba City, CA
