Vivian E. Loe Obituary
Vivian E. Loe, 96, passed away on December 8, 2013, at Valley West Care Center in Williams. She was born November 17, 1917, in Stanton, Nebraska to Harvey and Sally Brown. Vivian was raised in Stanton and graduated from Stanton High School. On March 23, 1940, she married Leonard Loe in Neligh, Nebraska. In 1950, they moved to Paso Robles, and settled in Siskiyou County in 1964. In October of 2004, the couple moved to Colusa to reside with their daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Tiernan.

Vivian was a secretary the majority of her life and retired from Siskiyou County in 1976. She loved her family very much and was known for her kindness, generosity, boundless energy, creativity, and very quick wit. Sewing was her passion; she once said, "I just love fabric." Her friends and family certainly enjoyed her many creations.

Vivian is survived by her children, Donald Loe of Yreka, Mary (Dan) Freitas of Montague and Judy (John) Tiernan of Colusa, daughter-in-law, Lani Loe of Wasilla, Alaska, 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and three great-great- grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Leonard, sons William and Robert, and daughter Sally.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Girdner Funeral Chapel, Yreka, CA.
