Anne Wittrock, Sioux Falls, SD, died April 28, 2014, at Covington Heights. She was 90.

Anne Lucille (Parmley) Wittrock was born March 14, 1924, on a farm near Montrose, SD, to Lockey and Helen (Morrison) Parmley. She attended rural schools at Greenland Township near Canistota.

Anne moved to Sioux Falls in 1939. She worked at the Lunchette Café, Hefty's Café, and the Sport Bowl Café. Anne also worked as a housekeeper in Sioux Falls.

She was united in marriage to Ray Wittrock on November 18, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1977.

In 1968, Anne began working at Sioux Vocational Services, working in all departments. Within her 20 year career at SVS, she managed Hawthorne Hall, the first independent housing built by HUD Housing in the nation. After her retirement in 1987, she worked at the Select Inn. She then became a Senior Companion driver for the Senior Companion Society, a position she held for 19 years. Anne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Tea, SD; the VFW Auxiliary; American Legion Auxiliary of Tea, SD; and the SVS Auxiliary.

Grateful for having shared her life are her sister, Jose Jens, Sioux Falls; sisters-in-law, Harriet Parmley, Chancellor, SD, and Edith Wittrock of Sioux Falls, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Ray, she was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Francis and Robert; sisters, Ethel, and Lena; and brothers, Harvey, Ellis, Earl, Carl, and Roy.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Friday, May 2, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tea, SD, with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation begins at 1:00 pm Thursday at Miller West, 6100 W. 41st Street, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 Thursday evening to greet friends.
