Dr. Wilma J. Fett

Wilma J. Fett, 58, died peacefully on June 18, 2013 in Norman, OK. Wilma was the daughter of Chester and Ellen (Thomas) Fett and grew up in South Dakota graduating from Sioux Falls Washington High School in 1972. She attended Lutheran Deaconess School of Nursing working as a registered nurse at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls for a few years. She continued her education and ultimately received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Dakota in 1986. Dr. Fett worked in California and Oklahoma with emphasis in internal medicine, adolescent medicine and psychiatry. For the last several years she was a staff psychiatrist at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, OK. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and as her health declined she received the greatest enjoyment from her pets, reading a good mystery and visits with family and friends. Survivors: sister Janet (Dave) Wictor; nieces Katie and Sara Wictor and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including her special friends Vicky and Allison. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. A memorial service will be held at Memorial Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls on Sunday, July 21st at 4:30 pm. with burial to follow Monday in the Lennox Cemetery.
