Agnes Huber

Agnes N Huber, 89, of Turton, SD, passed away January 23rd, 2016 at Avera McKennan Hospital. She was born in Turton, SD on October 16, 1926 to Leo and Edna (Understock) Remily. She graduated from Turton High School in 1944. After graduating she worked at the Turton Farmers Bank until she was united in marriage to C. Thomas Huber on June 10, 1947. They would live on a farm near Turton for the next 63 years and raise 5 children. Tom and Agnes always looked forward to spending the winter months at their home in Mesa, AZ where they acquired many lifelong friends. She enjoyed golfing, baking, and crossword puzzles. Her caramel rolls and pies will be sorely missed. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed the many visits from them. In September of 2015, she moved to Stoneybrook Assisted Living Center where she enjoyed both the staff and residents.

Survivors include her 4 daughters, Susan (Rich) Crowder-Portell of Longmont, CO, Jean (Perry) Hall of Mesa, AZ, Peggy (Mike) Schoonveld of Morocco, IN and Michelle (Scott) Goulet of Sioux Falls, SD and a son, David (Kristy) Huber of Conde, SD. Grandchildren include Jennifer Hall, Erin and Alan Crowder, Wade and Abby Schoonveld, Nick, Jordan and Drew Huber and Jordan and Carter Goulet and great-grandchildren Trey, Tyson, Talon, Jarian, Jalen, Jaden, Jaidan, and Gillian with 3 more on the way and her sister, Gleva Ewing. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom in 2011, her parents, Edna and Leo Remily, her brothers, Donald and Berwyn Remily and her sister, Marie Schneider.

A memorial mass will begin at 11:00 am Friday, January 29, 2016 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Turton, SD. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.heritagesfsd.com
