Bradley Todd Wyant was born on September 4, 1966 to Ronald and Patricia Wyant in Sioux City, IA. His family moved to Sioux Falls in 1970 so Brad could attend South Dakota School for the Deaf. He graduated from Brandon Valley High School in 1985 where he was the first deaf student to play football and wrestle. He then graduated from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC in 1991 with a degree in Art. Brad's greatest labors of love included authoring two sign language books for hearing impaired children. His home and his heart were open to anyone who needed shelter and a friend. His loving demeanor and care for others was his legacy. He died April 6 from a heart attack.

He is survived by his parents, Patricia and Arlin (Pete) Simmons, brothers, Jeffrey (Kathy) Wyant, Victor (Barb) Simmons, Doug (Janet) Simmons, Christopher (Jennifer) Simmons, Mikal (Sarah) Simmons, Ryan (Amy) Simmons, Shea Simmons and sister, Jennifer Jervik.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wyant, grandparents, Leo and Rosemary Lavinger, Dorothy and Harold Krull, Jean and Edna Simmons.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Summit Events Hall April 12 at 2:00 PM.
