DeLores R. Yeo

DeLores R. Yeo, 92, of Sioux Falls, died peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Home.

Family present visitation will begin 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Sunday, September 27 at Miller Funeral Home-Downtown, 507 S. Main Ave.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday, September 28 at Miller Funeral Home-Downtown.

DeLores Roselyn Pridal, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Veverka) Pridal was born May 10, 1923 on the family farm near Taunton, MN. DeLores accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was 11 years old, and He has guided her all through her life. She graduated in 1940 from Minneota High School. She went to school with a young man by the name of Bert Yeo, who later became her husband.

While Bert was serving in the US Navy during WWII, DeLores worked in Minneapolis, MN at Montgomery Ward Department Store. When Bert came home for his first furlough they were united in marriage on June 22, 1943 at the Minneota Baptist Church where they were both members.

Following his discharge from the service, they farmed for several years in Minnesota. In the early 1960's they moved to Sioux Falls where they purchased and operated the Sunset Motel, Trap and Field Supply, and built the Cloud 9 Motel. Upon retiring, she enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family. She would combine the two as they visited family and friends across the country.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church, and The Gideon International Auxiliary. She enjoyed Bible Study Fellowship, playing Scrabble, gardening, and baking.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Larry (Diane) Yeo, Sioux Falls, SD, Diane Yeo, Sioux Falls, SD, Darcy (Martin) Paul, Minneapolis, MN, Darlene (Jim) Neiles, Steamboat Springs, CO, Denise (Mark) Paul, Chandler, TX, Darla (Ron) Wellendorf, Sioux Falls, SD, Kevin (Laurie) Yeo, Mitchell, SD; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, James (Sylvia) Pridal, Marshall, MN; a sister-in-law, Ona Olevson, Minneota, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert on June 6, 1993; a loving daughter-in-law, Andrea Yeo; a brother, Joseph Pridal; two sisters, LeOna Jeremiason and EmMillie Nevins.

Memorials may be given to the Gideon International.
