Gladys Musch Obituary
Gladys Musch

Gladys Musch was born September 1st, 1937 to Richard & Lydia Mattheis of Platte, SD. She was the youngest of their children following Roland, Kenneth and Delores.

After a relatively short time in Platte, the Mattheis family moved to Lennox, SD. Gladys attended school in Lennox through high school graduation as a member of the class of 1955. She was the homecoming queen her senior year in high school, where she also met her future husband Elroy, class of 1954.

Elroy and Gladys were married September 5, 1958. They had two children, Barbara (Gross) and Steven. Elroy and Gladys were married for 39 years, until Elroy went to be with the Lord in 1997.

Gladys served the Lord Jesus in many ways throughout her life. She and Elroy became members of Linwood Wesleyan Church shortly after it was formed. She was actively involved in the church, serving in numerous capacities, with a focus on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through involvement in missions and service.

Gladys spent years in volunteer service at Union Gospel Mission. She was also a volunteer leader for Child Evangelism Fellowship, leading weekly Good News Clubs in her home for kids after school for many years.

Grateful to her for setting a Godly and loving example are her children Barbara Gross (Kevin) and their children Nichole Anderson (Joshua) and Matthew Gross (Missy), along with Steven Musch (Dana) and their children Sydney and Samuel.

Gladys was a wonderful grandmother to Nichole, Matt, Sydney and Sam, and found great joy watching great grandchildren Sadie and Reese (Matt and Missy). She looked forward to meeting great grandchild 'number 3' (Nichole and Josh) along with the rest of the family.

She will be truly missed by family and friends whose lives she blessed through her kind and giving heart.

Her memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Linwood Wesleyan Church, Sioux Falls. Burial will precede the service at 1:00 pm at Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Heritage Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.

In Gladys' honor, please direct memorials to the Union Gospel Mission, Sioux Falls, SD, or Child Evangelism Fellowship, South Dakota.
