Glenn Chance

Glenn Chance, 73, of Humboldt, formerly of Menno, passed away February 3, 2017 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. CORRECTION: Visitation with family present will be held on Monday, February 6 from 5-7 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm at Kinzley Funeral Chapel, Hartford.

Glenn F. Chance was born February 16, 1943 to Harold and Edna (Schettler) Chance in Bell, CA. The family moved to Menno, SD during his 8th grade year. Upon graduation from Menno High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. Glenn then resided in Menno until 1970 when he moved to Britt, IA. He also lived in Loveland, CO before returning to South Dakota and most recently resided in Humboldt.

Glenn was a technology fanatic and always had the most up-to-date devices. He loved building and tinkering and could always find a way to fix anything.

Glenn is survived by: his significant other, Virginia Mathieu of Humboldt; his children, Tabetha (Brian) Chance of Sioux Falls, SD, Tina (Kevin) Van Beek of Hudson, SD, Thaddeus (Crystal) Chance of Minneapolis, MN; Dana (Matt) Scheurs of Alvord, IA; Mike (Amanda) of Fayetteville, NC, Brian (Sam) of Humboldt, SD, and Chris (Heather) of Sioux Falls, SD; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Lonnie Chance of Ashland, OR; and special friends, Carol and Bob Harvey and Diane Lindstrom.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Edna Chance. www.kinzleyfh.com
