Harrison Kenfield Brown, age 100, died in his home on December 5th, 2015. Born in Worcester, MA, Harrison graduated Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Electrical Engineering. He married Doris MacIntosh in 1941 and moved to Vallejo, CA to work at the Mare Island Naval Yard in submarine design and maintenance during World War II. In 1957 they moved to Huntsville, where he began his career as a NASA project manager, working directly under Dr. Werner Von Braun and the original team of rocket scientists at the Marshall Space Flight Center. In 1973 he retired and began a second career working and volunteering for various nonprofit organizations in the Huntsville community. Harrison was active in the Huntsville Mental Health Association and Huntsville-Madison County Senior Center. He volunteered at the Alabama Space and Rocket Center, Harrison Brothers Hardware, and Alabama Constitution Village. Doris and Harrison traveled all over the world and at home participated in square dancing and community events with their many friends. An active member of Latham United Methodist Church for over fifty years, Harrison served as a Sunday school teacher and member of the choir. At age 99 he was still singing with the Wesley Singers. Throughout his life he was an avid crossword puzzler, stamp collector, Master Gardener and 65 year member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by sisters, Olive Samuel of Nashua, NH, Virginia Fellows of Merrimack, NH; daughter, Judith Tulloch (Michael) of Alcester, SD and son, Douglas Brown (Susan) of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Michael Tulloch (Natalie) of Tallahassee, FL; Scott Tulloch (Anjana ) of Parkland, FL; John Tulloch of Sioux Falls, SD; Harrison Brown of Chicago, IL; and Blaine Brown of Boston, MA; and great grandchildren, Sanjay and Arjun Tulloch.

A gathering of friends and family will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Latham United Methodist Church with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM. (
