Jeanne "Luvy" Byram

Jeanne "Luvy" Byram, 93 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away at the Sanford Medical Center on Monday, September 21, 2015.

Jeanne Bonds, daughter of Luke Bonds and Adelle Cowgill, was born on March 9, 1922, in Tacoma, WA. She grew up in Santa Monica, CA and attended high school there. Jeanne enlisted with the United States Navy in 1942, and served at the Stockton Navel Shipyard during WWII. After being honorably discharged she lived in Pasadena, CA, and began to raise a family. She then resided in La Puente, CA, working at various jobs for over fifty years. She was President of PTA's at several of her children's schools. She later moved to Florida and then came to South Dakota.

Witty and fun, Luvy had loads of personality. She cherished her collection of over 150 pairs of Converse Hi-Tops. She truly felt that motherhood was her greatest accomplishments.

Grateful for having shared her life are her daughters Carroll Browne and her husband Chris, Sioux Falls, SD, Timothy Sartin and her husband Eddie, Covina, CA; son Schuyler Harris, Phelan, CA; 4 grandchildren, Schuyler, Erik, Denny and Ashley; and 9 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Bruce Byram, and a sister Barbara Greenaway.

Jeanne and her family are so grateful for the medical care she received from Dr. Eric Larson and the entire Sanford Medical family.

In accordance with Jeanne's wishes, the family will be holding private services.
