In loving memory of Marguerite Kilcoin who passed away at the age of 94 on Friday, November 11th, 2016, who was blessed to be surrounded by her loving family at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Marguerite Lorraine Kilcoin was the seventh of eight children born on July 17th, 1922 in a farmhouse outside of Woonsocket, South Dakota to Nick and Magdalena Thill.

She attended school in Woonsocket and Notre Dame Academy in Mitchell.

She married Tom (Pips) Kilcoin on June 6, 1945 and enjoyed their almost 60 years marriage, raising eight children in the Woonsocket area. Four girls and four boys: James, Matthew, Michael (Linda) of Woonsocket, Kate Barnes (Don), Tina Arend (Joe), Gina Hoffmann (Gregg), all of Sioux Falls, Bill (Linda) of Hill City, and Sheri Stiltz (Tom) of Baltimore, MD.

Marguerite was a devout Catholic who was very active in many different religious organizations at St. Wilfrid's church and throughout the diocese. For many years she was President of the Blue Army of Fatima, dedicated to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary. A true homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and had a home where family and friends were always welcomed. Her life was enriched in their home that was filled with music, dance and laughter. She especially enjoyed doting on her 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, her two sons, James and Matthew, grandchild, Andrea and all of her siblings.

A special thanks to the care given by the staff of Avera McKennan Hospital and the staff of Good Samaritan Society for the past nine years.

A Catholic wake/rosary and scripture will be on Monday 11/14/2016 from 6-8pm. A Funeral service will be on Tuesday 11/15/2016 11am at St. Wilfrid's Church in Woonsocket. Burial in the church cemetery. Lunch will be served following the grave site burial at the Woonsocket Community Center. Arrangements by Basham Funeral Service, Woonsocket.
