Norma June Woldt, 85, died February 22, 2017 at Walker Methodist Assisted Living in Minneapolis. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 13 at Grace Lutheran Church in Nunda with Rev. Phillip Hofinga officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Prairie Queen Cemetery.

Norma was born on June 3, 1931 in Winfred SD to Clarence and Florence (Prescott) Strand. She grew up on her parent's farm in Nunda SD with her older sister Vivian (Strand) Bortnem and younger sister Jeanne (Strand) Pederson. Norma attended Rutland High School. Her favorite activities were playing the piano, singing and roller skating at Lake Campbell.

Norma married her high school sweetheart Kenwood (Ken) Woldt, and they were married 60 years before his death in 2007. She spent her early years of married life in Brookings while Ken attended South Dakota State. They moved to Alexandria near Mitchell where Ken accepted his first job at Armour & Co. Less than two years later they moved to St .Paul. In 1963 they settled in Portage WI with their four daughters. In 1965 Norma began working in the bookkeeping dept at Montgomery Ward. A year later she accepted a position at First National Bank where she would become one of the first female managers of the bank in the early 1970's. Norma enjoyed her retirement years in Windsor WI. Norma's joy of everyday life and her example of how to treat others is an inspiration to her daughters, grandchildren and all who knew her.

Norma is preceded in death by her husband Kenwood (Habeger) Woldt and sister Vivian (Strand) Bortnem. She is survived by four daughters, Susan (Charles) Cump, Mountain View CA; Barbara Schneider, Minneapolis; Lori (John) Cook, Okauchee, WI and Jane (Scott) Griggs, Minneapolis. In addition, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is further survived by her sister Jeanne (Strand) Pederson, Clear Lake SD.
