Norman Kuper, 90, of Lennox, SD, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Sanford Centennial Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls. He was born in 1927 and grew up near Davis, SD. He served in the US Army during WWII. In 1949 he married Esther Schoffelman. The couple farmed in the area moving into Lennox in 1999. He also worked for Jongeling Custom Harvesting, a gravel truck driver, Turner Co. Mutual Insurance and for the City of Lennox. He was a life long member of his church and the Chancellor American Legion. Survivors: wife. Esther, Lennox, children: Loren (Marjean) Kuper, Blackhawk, Venita (Jim) Winterboer, Brookings, Jody (LeAnn) Kuper, Milbank and Tami (Wes) Harms, Harrisburg: 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother Don (Jeri) Kuper, Tea and sister-in-law, Cora Schoffelman, Chancellor. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11 at Turner County Evangelical Church, rural Davis, SD. Visitation, also at Turner County Evangelical, with the family present, will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Dindot-Klusmann Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to the Lennox New Bus Fund, c/o Valley Exchange Bank, Lennox or other charity.
