Patricia Davis

Patricia Ann Davis, age 83, passed away October 15, 2016, at Touchmark at All Saints; beloved wife of the late Russell T. Davis; loving mother of Dawn Davis of Sante Fe, NM, Joan (Mark) Kotschevar of Rochester, MN, and Tom (Leisa) Davis of Sioux Falls; dearest grandmother of Lauren, T.J., Ben, Nate, Bryan, and Chris; cherished sister of Kathy Thorson and the late Donald Norton (Gloria); several nieces and a nephew.

Patricia was born near Worthing, SD on March 13, 1933, to William and Wilma Norton. Pat spent her entire life in the Harrisburg/Sioux Falls area. She was united in marriage to Russell T. Davis on May 3, 1953. They enjoyed 62 years together.

Pat was an active member of First United Methodist Church where she participated in couples group, women's Bible study, and donut Sunday and providing baked goods for church events.

Pat's greatest joy was spending time with her extended family; the older generations and later with her 6 grandchildren. She was blessed to have shared in the lives of 5 generations of family. She never tired of traveling many miles to watch a dance recital, ball game, cross country meet or tennis match. Many family memories with multiple generations were made with boating outings on lakes in SD and MN. Cooking and baking for family and friends was her favorite pastime; a love she handed down to the younger generations.

Pat pursued her life long dream of becoming a nurse and obtained her LPN license at the age of 50. She worked at the hospital, clinic and assisted living before retiring. Her kindness and tender care touched many patients.

Her love and devotion to family will live on on the hearts of her children and grandchildren who are blessed to have shared her life.

Visitation will be at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19 from 5-7 p.m. Committal service at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thurs., October 20 at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church followed by lunch.

Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church.
