Roxann Miller, 66 of Ellis, SD, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at her residence with her family at her side.

Roxann Marie Thu was born July 20, 1950 at Sioux falls, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls where she received her education, graduating from Washington High School.

On September 2, 1978, she was united in marriage with Kim Miller at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. While her husband worked power plant construction, the couple lived in various locations across the United States.

They settled in the Twin Cities area where Roxann owned and operated a motel and a pizza business. They moved to Sioux Falls where she was a cook at the county jail and at Children's Care Hospital and School prior to her retirement. She lived a happy and full life with friends and family and pets with love for all.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Kim, of Ellis, SD; her children, Bruce Moeller (Lisa) living in Illinois and Tracy (Kris) Smith living in Colorado; her grandchildren, Joshua and Payton Moeller and Alex, Trevor and Hanna Smith; her brothers, Larry (Jolynn) Thu of Sioux Falls, SD and Mark (Michelle) Thu of St. Paul, MN; two sisters, Jodi (Tom) McFarlane of Sioux Falls, SD and Tina (Kelly) Thu of Jefferson, SD; and one step brother, Gary (Mary) Olson of Jefferson, SD. Roxann was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will begin 2:00 pm Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location. Private burial will take place in Hills of Rest Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00-4:00 Saturday at the funeral home.
