Family-Placed Death Notice

Willie G. "Andy" Anderson, Sr., age 84, of Acworth, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006. He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Anderson, sister, Betty Bagley and brothers, Horace Anderson and Robert Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Renate Anderson; children, Willie G. (Joyce) Anderson, Jr. of Conyers, Dorothy (Jack) Waldrop of Flovilla, Elizabeth (Kevin) Butterworth of Acworth, Geraldine "Sissy" Russell of Cartersville and Steven (Jane) Wheeler of Acworth; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and sisterss, Edna Laudermilk of Nashville and Sandy Mitchell of Cartersville. Mr. Anderson was a retired Army Sergeant Major with 26 years of service. He was also retired as a warehouse manager for an Atlanta liquor distributor. Funeral Services will be on Saturday at 2 PM in the Reece Memorial Chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home, with Fred Curtis officiating and interment will follow at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home, and until the funeral on Saturday. Woodstock Funeral Home is assisting the family, 8855 Main St., 770-926-3107.
