Mrs. Butler was my 5th grade teacher at Kennesaw Elementary School in 1966-67. All of us kids adored her. She was interesting and energetic, and we knew she loved us too. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am sad to hear of your loss. The one thing I remember about Mimi Jo from Tate School and Tate UMC is her cheerfulness and vitality. My wife and I enjoyed being with Mimi Jo at a few recent Young Harris College gatherings. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I did not know Mimi Jo Butler personally, but my husband, Larry Juhlin, from Carbondale IL, and Mimi were descendants of the Johnson family connected with Clouds Creek Church and they spent many hours going through old records and they always relished in their findings. Larry was down in Georgia several times and I think he met and chatted with Mimi. We always enjoyed her notes about her findings and her family. My Larry passed away in January of 2010, so I have some kinds of feelings of what Mimi's family is going through. Do know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all during these difficult days. May the Lord be your Comfort, Strength and Wisdom in the days ahead. May He comfort your hearts as you remember with fondness your days with Mimi Jo. Sincerely, Marilyn Rasche Juhlin

Robert,I'm so sorry about Mimi Jo! What a loss! I'm so sorry that I didn't know she was sick. I first met her at Cherokee High when my boys were there and later worked with her on different programs. May the wonderful memories that you have of her bring you comfort as you grieve.
