Family-Placed Death Notice

Master Sergeant U.S. Army, Ret., Thomas E. Agor of Atlanta died August 1, 2004. A U.S. Army Veteran, Mr. Agor fought in the Pacific Theater in WWII and also served in Vietnam before his retirement in 1967. He later worked for Aaron Rents. Survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Martha D. Agor of Atlanta; daughters, Roberta and Charles Wingo of Conyers, Charlene and James Maddix of Grayson, and Nancy Agor Weaver of Stockbridge; and grandchildren, Lora E. Wingo, Jack Wingo, Ivy Maddix, Natalie Maddix, and John Weaver. Funeral services 2 PM Friday August 6th at the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, East Point with Military Honors. A cremation will follow with the cremains intered at a National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday August 5th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
