William Benton, "W.B." Anderson, 88, of Woodstock, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005. Born in Fulton County, W.B. had lived in Woodstock for most of his life. He was the owner of Woodstock Gas Company and was the oldest unretired propane distributor in the state of Georgia. He was formerly the mayor of Woodstock and was a faithful yellow dog Democrat. He was a member of Woodstock Lodge #246 F&AM, a Shriner and a membr of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Lautrell Turner Anderson, Woodstock; daughter, Ann Early, Woodstock; sons, Ben Anderson, Canton; and Lane Anderson, Walnut Creek, CA; grandchildren, Brett Anderson, Kelley Anderson and Scottie Lingerfelt; 4 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 Friday afternoon in the Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. David Byess and the Rev. Ben Ware officiating. Interment church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM today at the Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St., Woodstock (770)926-3107
