From the Staff and Membership of Capital City Club;
Edward "Smitty" Smith's mega-watt smile and engaging personality made us all love him dearly. For nearly thirty years, he led the valet team at Brookhaven where he made all members and guests feel special. With an almost photographic memory, Smitty would remember exact details about every member (i.e., their birthdays, their children's names, their alma maters, their last golf scores, who they cheered for in major league baseball games) and would easily engage in personalized conversation with them as they arrived under the porte-cochere. May we suggest during this holiday season that we "live like Smitty" in his honor. Loving those around you; making them feel special; greeting them with that warm "Smitty smile." We will miss him dearly and are heartbroken over his passing.
