Regina Reid Obituary

Regina Benton Reid passed away Friday, February 16, 2018. She was 54, born on October 2, 1963 in Pensacola, Florida the daughter of Thomas Benton and Cheryl Cheatham Benton.

Regina graduated from Florida State University with Honors in 1985 and received her Juris Doctorate from Emory Law School in 1988 graduating in the top 10% of her class. On April 15, 1989 she was united in marriage to Stephen Reid in Atlanta, Ga. Professionally, she was an Attorney, and once presented before the Supreme Court of the United States, which she considered the pinnacle of her career.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Reid of Tucker; their three children Rachel Reid of Tucker, Rebecca Reid of Dallas, Texas, and Robin Reid of Marietta; her granddaughter, Aubrey Norfleet of Tucker; her father and mother, Thomas and Cheryl Benton of Lutz, Florida. She was preceded in death by her brother, Todd Benton of Lutz, Florida.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church 4882 Lavista Road, Tucker Georgia, 30084. The family will be there before the memorial to greet relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you support a child with type 1 diabetes at Camp Kudzu. In memory of Regina Benton Reid donations can be made by mail, phone, or online.
