Family-Placed Death Notice
SILVIO "STEVE" LOUIS GIOLITO Silvio "Steve" Louis Giolito, 87, of Norcross, GA, died September 30, 2006. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 1:30 pm. The family will receive friends Monday, October 2, 2006 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Giolito, a native of Queens Co., NY, was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II. He was a Research Organic Chemist for Stauffer Chemical Company and competed in Individual and Team Olympic Fencing in London 1948 and Helsinki in 1952. He is survived by his wife, Olga Giolito of Norcross, GA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Steven Giolito & Monica Giolito and Richard Edward Giolito & Lindsey Frost Giolito, all of Santa Monica, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Diane Jill Barry & Clifford T. Barry of Norcross, GA; and five grandchildren, Christopher Barry, Jessica Barry, Elisabeth Giolito, Lucas Giolito, and Casey Giolito. What a wonderful Uncle and man. I didn't see Uncle Silvio often but the memories of the times that I did will be with me forever. I think of all of you all the time and what a shame that our lives could not have been different and we could have spent more time together. My father is certainly happy now to be back with his brother. Love to you all.
