Ada (Cardero) GOMEZ Obituary
GOMEZ (Cardero), Ada Mrs. Ada Gomez (n?e Cardero), of Atlanta, Ga and McKin-ney,TX, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, at the age of 86. Ada was born to parents Thomas and Marina Cardero in Havana, Cuba on November 12, 1931. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. She first came to the United States in 1955, and then emigrated in 1960, working towards and achieving her United States citizenship. She most recently worked for the City of Atlanta in the court system as an interpreter. Ada is survived by her devoted and beloved companion Nicolas Morales, her daughters, Ada Rosa(Michael) McNeff, Dallas,Tx, Becky (Mac) McWhorter, Bogart, Ga, Rosie (Mark) Weber, Oak Point, Tx; her son, Frank Gomez, Atlanta,Ga; her brothers Felix (Tati) Cardero and Gustavo (Nora) Cardero, both of Miami Fl., grandchildren Elizabeth (Alex) Thurn, Atlanta,Ga, Mac McWhorter, Dallas,Tx, Cameron (Wade) Dollins, Fort Worth, Tx, Richard Weber, Alexandra Weber, and Rachel (Austin) Perkins, all of Oak Point, TX., great grandchildren Tatum, Emma Stuart, and Thatcher Thurn. A memorial will be held at St Gabriel's Catholic Church, McKinney on October 29th at 2pm.The family would like to acknowledge the love and support of the ICU nurses and doctors at Medical City McKinney as well as the Senior Citizen Center of McKinney. The family is grateful for love and condolences.
