Amanda Millar "Millie" NICKS Obituary
NICKS, Amanda Millar "Millie" Returned to God September 14, 2017 while in the arms of her loving parents and surrounded by family. Millie, was our "Angel" who showed us all what matters in this life; the true meaning of Love, Family, and God. Her determination, strength and courage inspired everyone she met. Millie's beauty radiated all around her as she brought smiles and delight to everyone who knew her. With Millie's passing, we are reminded of how precious life is. We will miss her everyday, especially her beauty, her touch, her laughter, her strengthour precious "Angel" will forever remain in our hearts. Millie loved boating and swimming with her family, splashing in the pool with her siblings, playing in the backyard, laying in the grass and sunshine. She enjoyed so much her teachers, friends and therapists, reading books and listening to music. She cherished her family and loved singing and laughing with us. Millie is survived by her loving parents Charles Barry, Jr. and Tiffany Scott Nicks of Bradenton, Florida; brother Charles "Chase" Barry Nicks, III and sister Lauren Clara Nicks; maternal grandparents Kenneth Lowell and Doris Graham Scott of Marietta, Georgia; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends; she is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Charles Barry and Mary Dee Richard Nicks of Vinton, Louisiana. Services will be held on Sunday, September 24, 11am at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery located at 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy Sandy Springs, GA 30328 with Dr. Ron Hughes presiding and Soloist Mrs. Melanie Thomas of Johnson's Ferry Baptist Church performing. Reception to follow at Atlanta Country Club, 500 Atlanta Country Club Drive, Marietta, Georgia 30067. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Millie's name to Lighthouse of Manasota, Blind Babies Program. 7318 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Florida 34243.
