Bartholomew John "Red" Costello Jr. Obituary
Mr. Costello- age 82 of Marietta, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017. He was born and raised in Chicago, IL; a devoted Catholic and proud Irishman he studied at the Notre Dame School of Seminary and graduated from St. Leo High school in 1953. Mr. Costello proudly served in the United States Army while stationed in Korea and Japan. He married the love of his life, Anita R. Costello, in 1970 and they lived happily for almost 40 years. He retired as a highly respected executive after a 40 year career with UPS. Mr. Costello was a loving, supportive, and dedicated husband and father. He was also a big animal lover and was known for his dry sense of humor. He loved the Catholic Church and was a lifelong member of Holy Family in Marietta, GA. Mr. Costello is survived by his daughter, Anita M. Hankins (Greg); son, Bartholomew J. Costello, III; sister, Helen Costello; brother, John Costello (Mary); sister-in-law, Billye Morris and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Anita R. Costello. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 4th from 11:00am until 12:30pm at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA. A graveside service will follow at 1:00pm at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Holy Family Catholic Church.
