Camille RIES Obituary
RIES, Camille Camille Ries of Roswell, Georgia passed away on October 22, 2017 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Christmas Eve, December 24th, 1946 at 11:59pm at The Letterman Army Medical Center at the Presidio of San Francisco in San Francisco, California. Camille was raised primarily in Greendale, Wisconsin, where she first met her lifelong husband at the age of 13, and spent her late-teen years in Merrillville, Indiana. In 1981, now with her young family, she relocated from the Midwest to the Chimney Lakes Subdivision in Roswell, Georgia. She is a graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and was a multistate, licensed Dental Hygienist. She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Bonnie Giroux and her infant brother. She is survived by her husband of 45-years, Bruce R. Ries, and her sons Brad R. Ries of Wake Forest, North Carolina and his wife Addie Ries, and Brett G. Ries and his wife Hope Ries, as well as her four grandchildren Annie, Harper, Ryan and Callyn Ries. Camille and her husband were frequent travelers visiting five continents and four oceans including the countries of China, Thailand, Egypt, Morocco, Brazil and toured extensively across Europe and the Caribbean. In addition to being a founding member of Chimney Lake's infamous "Pink Flamingo" tennis team, she was an avid reader and lover of history. She cherished being with her family and friends and was the light of any room. Camille was a strong Christian, helping to establish Northside Christian Church and led her family to Christ teaching them about the saving power of Jesus Christ and the future promise of Heaven where her family will embrace her again. She was the epitome of a loving grandmother, a nurturing mother and a supportive and loving wife. A celebration of Camille's life will begin with a visitation on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 from 5 to 8pm at Northside Chapel located at 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, Georgia 30075. On October 26th, 2017 a Memorial Service will be held at Northside Chapel at 11am, followed by a small reception at the family home. The family requests donations be made in her memory to the Lupus Foundation of Georgia in lieu of flowers.
