Carolyn ROWELL Obituary
ROWELL (Moore), Carolyn Baker Join us in celebration of the life of Carolyn Baker Rowell, 70, of Fayetteville, who passed peacefully on to our Lord and Savior on October 17, 2017. Carolyn was born on January 18, 1947 in Red Jacket, West Virginia to Deacon John Ed Moore, Sr. and Cinderella Dillard Moore Howard. Carolyn was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother, Gordon V. Moore. Carolyn journeyed from Red Jacket, WV to Charleston, WV, then to College Park, GA and later to Fayetteville, GA. Carolyn accepted the Lord at a very early age and became a faithful, dedicated member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church. She was a 1965 graduate of Matewan High School with Honors. She furthered her education by studying at West Virginia State University. After moving to Georgia, she worked at Delta Airlines until she retired. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Charles Rowell, Sr.; two sons, Major Larry Baker, Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska and Captain Charles (Bethlehem) Rowell, II of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; step-daughter, Allison Rowell of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, John E. (Michelle) Moore, II of Duluth, Minnesota and Henry Clay (Christina) Moore of Red Jacket, WV; three sisters, Helen (Marvin) Spotts of Riverdale, Georgia, Dovie A. (Tim) Wilburn of Huntington, WV, and Evangelist Eudora (Conrad) Howard of Huntington, West Virginia; five grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Southview Cemetery, Atlanta. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
