Charles T. Austin ,"Charlie", 90, of Smoke Rise, GA, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, in the comfort of his home. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty C. Austin, to whom he was married to for 62 years. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Judith Austin Strickland and Jill Austin Still, along with their husbands, Mike and Jesse respectfully. Charlie's precious grandchildren Melanie Strickland Smith, Michael Charles Strickland, Cody Robert Herndon and wife Alyson, Conner James Herndon, Andrew Still, Brianna Still Gallardo and her husband Alex, who will surely miss their "Pawpaw". He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Savannah, Baylor, Maverick and Sydney and will always grow up to know what a generous and loving man he was. He is also survived by his loyal dog, Molly. Charlie served his country in the U.S Navy. After his service, he attended UGA where he became a die hard "bulldawg" fan. For over 30 years, Charlie was the owner of Austin Printing Company, a highly successful printing company in Atlanta, GA. Charlie was an avid and skilled golfer and belonged to several country clubs around the Atlanta area, up until his 80's. Tuesday, September 18, 2018, will be a Celebration of Life at Wages Funeral Home, off Highway 78 in Snellville, GA. Family and Friends to gather at 2 pm with the funeral to be held at 3 pm and to be officiated by Ernie Forrester. There will be no graveside service to follow.
