Coy Radford WIDNER Obituary
WIDNER, Coy Radford Coy Radford Widner, age 83 of Atlanta, died Saturday, September 16, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Hardison Widner, father and mother James and Elmer Widner, brothers Vernon Widner, Willard Widner and James I Widner Jr. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia and James Wall, Atlanta, GA, Kimberly and Stephen Carter, Monroe, GA, grandchildren, Amanda Wall, Catherine Wall, Sam Carter, Ben Carter, and Aaron Carter, sister and brother-in-law Faye & Carlton Skipper, brothers and sisters-in-law Ray & Jacquelyn Widner, Claude Widner, Larry & Sherry Widner. Coy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and the United States Army retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 3. He served multiple tours of duty in Vietnam and Korea. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Howard Greer officiating; interment with "Full Military Honors" will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 to 1:45pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to The Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346.
