Dr.  Dean Beaury Talley Obituary
Dr. Dean Beaury Talley, age 76 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday morning, May 12, 2018 at Tanner Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1942 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late Beaury Aaron Talley and the late Loyce Delia Dean Talley. As a youth, Dean "Fox" Talley played Trojan football at Carrollton High School. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Dean Talley was a Sigma Nu and a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. He graduated second in his class from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Talley completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Major Talley served in the United States Air Force in Columbus, Mississippi and was honorably discharged from service in 1981. Dr. Talley had tirelessly and devotedly practiced as a medical doctor for 42 years in Carrollton, Georgia. He served on the Board of Directors for Carrollton Federal Bank and BBT for almost thirty years. He was a member of the Young Men's Bible Class at Carrollton First United Methodist Church. He is survived by three children: Christy Talley Smith (Rob) of Carrollton, Beaury Andrew Talley of Marietta, Georgia, and Hope Talley Szczepkowski (Joseph) of Suwanee, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Isabella Szczepkowski, Luke Szczepkowski, Stanley Szczepkowski, Joey Szczepkowski, Van Smith, Henry Smith and Vivienne Smith. He is also survived by adoring nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Mr. Tommy Greer, Mr. Tommy Vance, and Pastor Ken Stephens officiating. Pallbearers are Bill Carter, Bob Chesser, Nelson Dean, John Gladney, Tommy Haney, Brian Smart, Luke Szczepkowski, and Tommy Vance. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Lawrence Alligood, Dr. Jack Crews, Roy Denney, Dr. John Godard, and Ronald Smith. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens with military honors presented by the American Legion Post #143. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Message of condolence may be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com.
