Edna Weston Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
WESTON, Edna Edna McGuire Weston, 94, died July 1, 2008. A native of Carroll County, she moved to Atlanta in 1934 and became the first female news photographer for the Atlanta Journal/Constitution in 1945 where she worked until she retired in 1980. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Weston in 1971, along with six siblings. She is survived by dozens of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 5 at 2:00 at Westview with Dr. Stephen Huntley officiating. Family and friends will be received Friday, July 4 from 6:30 until 8:00 at Spring Hill.

Edna was a dear neighbor, inspiring friend, and passionate fellow gardener. She brightened every life she touched. God bless her soul, her family, and her many friends.
Just found out about her passing when FTD could not deliver a Christmas Amaryllis plant.
