We are saddened to announce the passing of Frances M. (Goldman) Wyers, 85, of Norcross, GA. Frances departed peacefully in the company of family on Saturday, January 16, 2021.She was born on November 20, 1935, in Brenham, TX. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Daniel Wyers, and her parents, Henry and Celonie Schwartz of Bryan, TX.

Frances was a faithful member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, with a heart for loving and serving others. She was a long-time assistant in the church's "Clothing Closet," which provided foster children and disadvantaged children with donated clothing, shoes, and essential items. She was also an enthusiastic volunteer helping to feed the homeless in downtown Atlanta. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and cooking, with many of her kitchen creations shared with family, neighbors and her church family. She was a social butterfly determined to make everyone feel welcome and had an art for making fast friends with anyone she encountered.

In business, Frances was a dedicated, natural-born accountant who retired from Havertys Furniture in 1999 Frances is survived by her daughters; Terri Pate (Bruce), Cindy Stokes (Peter), and step daughter, Maria Goldman Swenson (Eldon). She is also survived by two granddaughters, Lindsey Pittman-Opp (Nolan) and Gracie Stokes, her brother Tommy Schwartz (Paula), and her sister Sandra Sorensen (Harold). Frances also leaves an extended family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her union with George Wyers.
